Happy Chinese New Year, AXIS dragons!🧨🧨

On Friday, AXIS students delivered an amazing performance for the entire community to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year (CNY). Students, parents, and staff gathered in the auditorium in anticipation of the big show, with live streaming available for those unable to attend in person.

As the Dragon and Lion Dance—a classic and essential part of CNY—began, our Head of School, Dr. Don, announced the start of the performance. The show was divided into two parts: the first half, presented by the primary school, was themed “Zodiac Dance in Unison, Boundless Joy”, while the second half featured the secondary students with the theme “Laughter and Joy, Composing the Melody of Spring”. Both younger and older students focused on their roles and embraced the joyful atmosphere, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience throughout the performance.

As the new year arrives, we are proud to see our students growing more confident and willing to express themselves and showcase their talents. In secondary school, students generated ideas for the show, collaborated on planning and practicing, and some even wrote the script for the skit. We are thrilled to witness their growth and progress.

周五，长菁学生们为整个社区带来了一场精彩热闹的春节汇演，共庆即将到来的中国春节。学生、家长和教职工们齐聚大礼堂，共同期待这场演出。同时，我们也为不能到场的社区成员们提供了视频直播。

在春节经典又必不可少的节目“舞龙舞狮”开场之后，我们的总校长，Dr. Don上台致辞，并宣布本场演出正式开始。演出由两个部分组成：上半场是由幼儿园&小学部学生带来的主题为“生肖齐舞，欢乐无疆”的歌舞表演，每个年级都有自己的节目，而下半场则是由中学部学生带来的主题为“欢声笑语，共谱新春乐章”的歌舞和小品表演。不论是低年级的小朋友还是高年级的大朋友们都专注于自己的角色和表演，全情投入于这欢乐的氛围中，并且收获了在场观众们一次次热烈的掌声。

随着新的一年到来，我们非常自豪地看到学生成长得更加自信，更加愿意去表达自己，展示自己的才华。在中学部，学生们自发地为节目出谋划策，相互协作，计划和排练，一些学生更是自己创作小品剧本进行演绎。我们非常高兴见证了他们的成长与进步。
